While I’m on the subject of coffee (sort of), I should rectify a grave oversight that I’ve made. I realize that I’ve neglected to introduce my Stateside friends to the glory that is the flat white.

How to describe the flat white? Well, it’s similar to a latte or a cappuccino, except that it calls for the use of microfoam – as opposed to steamed milk or dry foam – and a double shot of espresso – as opposed to a single shot. The resulting drink has a richer, more pronounced coffee taste, and much thicker, silkier mouthfeel than your usual coffee concoctions.
