I first heard these guys on my flight down to Dunedin. It was one of those times when that subversively irritating background music that they usually play on planes and elevators and other cramped spaces turned into something far more pleasant. The song was actually catchy, and vaguely reminded me of some British tunes that were popular(-ish) a few years back.

The Good Fun hail from Pirongia, and were the winners of last year’s Smokefreerockquest. They’ve been called a “quirky indie pop rock band,” and while that pretty much sums these guys up, it doesn’t really do justice to just how much fun it is to listen to their music.
